The Energy will play a key role in our future economic growth and recovery of the Inland Empire. This Energy Summit presents an opportunity to gain knowledge from top experts on topics such as energy policy, energy efficiency and conservation, green house gas reduction and renewable industry opportunities.
Regional business owners and community leaders are invited to engage in discussions including energy project funding, incentive programs, Climate Action legislative impacts and evolving energy-related technologies. An Exhibit Expo will feature leading companies in the energy related industries.
Growth of the Inland Empire has been dramatic both in terms of population and economic activity. This growth has brought with it unprecedented opportunities and challenges throughout the region and there is no end in sight. Current forecasts project the region’s population at over five million by 2015, an increase of nearly 60 percent in just 15 years. The Brookings Institution predicts that the Inland Empire will continue to be the state’s fastest growing metro area.
As the area’s only regional economic development organization, the Inland Empire Economic Partnership (IEEP) works closely with business and government leaders to make the Inland Empire a great place to live, work and invest. However, the programs and strategies that met regional needs in the past must be adapted to meet both the challenges of today and those to come.
The IEEP is focused on building a future wherein the many unique communities and sub-regions which make up the Inland Empire have collectively and successfully addressed current deficits in human capital, transportation infrastructure, educational attainment, environmental quality and political influence, transforming our region into an economically and politically vibrant region to rival that of any in the world. The Inland Empire will boast thriving communities with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environmental, social and economic climates.
Guided by the region’s business, political and academic leaders, the IEEP has developed new initiatives to significantly impact regional issues including transportation, human capital, business environment and business development. This creates a strong regional voice that will have an effective influence on public policy at all levels of government and assure that the Inland Empire enjoys its fair share of resources to meet the challenges of continued growth.
To ensure success, IEEP has established a new standard of communication interchange with its investors to make certain that our initiatives continue to reflect their highest priorities, interests and needs, and holds the organization to a new standard of accountability.
